Lineup Announced for StubHub’s Music Experience at SXSW

Three Days and Evenings of Intimate Performances by More than Two-Dozen Emerging and Buzzworthy Acts.

StubHub, one of the world’s largest ticket marketplaces, has announced its 2016 lineup for its three day showcase of daytime and evening performances at the South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival on March 16, 17 and 18.  Hosted at Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden, the diverse lineup includes acclaimed global artists from various musical genres, including Miike Snow, Baio, The Kills, Bloc Party, Ghostland Observatory and X Ambassadors. Festival attendees must RSVP for daytime sessions in advance at culturecollide.com/stubhub2016.

This year’s event will mark the second-consecutive year that StubHub will host its showcase at SXSW. The 2015 edition featured electric and headline-making performances by the likes of The War on Drugs, Future Islands, Portugal. The Man, Charles Bradley, breakout acts like BØRNS and much more with nearly 4,000 attendees packing the house over the three days.

This second year promises to be an equally sensational experience with a lineup that spans rock, electro/synth-pop, garage rock, bluegrass, Americana and representing a variety of countries including Canadian act The Strumbellas, Swedish artist Miike Snow, Australian act Tigertown and UK acts Eliot Sumner, The Crookes and Lawrence Taylor.  Global acts to watch. Performances will begin at 2 p.m. each day and continue through the evening, allowing fans to enjoy more than two-dozen bands in an intimate venue, along with Banger’s famous homemade sausages, 100+ beers on tap and relaxed outdoor setting.

Everything you need for the perfect festival! This can give you great inspiration if you ever plan on hosting your own. Of course, a provider like Let Loos will be needed for toilets too.

“As a globally-growing brand in both the music and tech industries, activating at SXSW is a seamless fit for StubHub,” said Justin Finn, Head of Event Marketing and Sponsorships.  “Building off all our success here last year, we’re excited to go even bigger and better in 2016, bringing more unique performances from emerging and global acts to fans and industry colleagues at Bangers.”

Evening performances will be open to SXSW badge holders on a first-come, first serve basis and StubHub VIP only.
