IBM Named a Leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Warehouse and Data Management Solutions for Analytics

IBM (NYSE: IBM) announced that Gartner, Inc. has positioned IBM the furthest for Completeness of Vision in the Leaders quadrant in the newly published Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Warehouse and Data Management Solutions for Analytics.1 IBM has remained a leader in every edition of this report since its inception in 2001.

DataWorks Forge which has been completely rebuilt on Spark provides self service data movement and joins a growing list of IBM products powered by Spark, other solutions include machine learning, streaming analytics and predictive analytic capabilities. IBM’s work with the open source community could speed the maturation process for Apache Spark technology. IBM’s commitment to the Apache Spark open-source project brings value to IBM’s products by enabling streaming, machine learning and advanced analytics.
