Acer Unveils Nitro 14 and Nitro 16 Gaming Laptops

Acer announced the new Nitro 14 and Nitro 16 gaming laptops, powered by AMD Ryzen™ 8040 Series processors with Ryzen AI[1]. With up to NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4060[2] Laptop GPUs supported by DLSS 3.5 technology, both are backed by NVIDIA’s RTX AI platform, providing an array of capabilities in over 500 games and applications, enhanced by AI. Gamers are immersed in their 14- and 16-inch NVIDIA G-SYNC® compatible panels with up to WQXGA (2560×1600) resolution.
Whether in call or streaming in-game, Acer PurifiedVoice™ 2.0 harnesses the power of AI to block out external noises, while Acer PurifiedView™ keeps users always front and center of all the action. Microsoft Copilot in Windows[3] (with a dedicated Copilot key) helps accelerate everyday tasks on these AI laptops, and with one month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate[4] included with every device, players will enjoy hundreds of high-quality PC games. To seamlessly take command of device performance and customizations, one click of the NitroSense™ key directs users to the control center and the library of available AI-related functions through the new Experience Zone.
Acer Nitro 14: A Balance of Performance, Portability, and Affordability
The new Nitro 14 (AN14-41) combines a sleek design and powerhouse components in a compact form factor, equipped with up to an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor[2] with Ryzen AI built-in and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060[2] Laptop GPU with DLSS 3.5 technology for stunning visuals and higher frame rates. Users can also tap into the NVIDIA RTX AI ecosystem of computing, gaming capabilities, and accelerations, and utilize RTX Video that delivers AI upscaling and HDR visual quality. Flawless frames and color quality are achieved on its 14-inch WQXGA (2560×1600) display with 120 Hz refresh rate, 9 ms response time, and sRGB 100% gamut support.
A dual-fan system with Vortex Flow consistently draws in air into the device from both the top and bottom sides of the fans, and thus creates an aerodynamic flow that enhances cooling for the CPU, GPU, and crucial components, while the heat conductivity of liquid metal thermal grease on the CPU keep the Nitro laptop ready for anything. It also comes with a generous offer of vital connectivity features including full-function USB 4 and USB 3.2 Type C ports, dual Type A ports (one with offline charging), HDMI 2.1, and a microSD™ card reader.
Amazing sound fidelity is produced when gaming and communicating with DTS:X® Ultra Audio, plus Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0, paired with a three-microphone design and beamforming, isolates users’ voices and eradicates unwanted background noise. Its HD webcam utilizes the AI-powered Acer PurifiedView to optimize video calls. Power is granted to users through the NitroSense™ application, allowing them to tailor the laptops’ game and performance settings, fan speeds, customize the 4-zone RGB keyboard lighting, and dive into the new Experience Zone that contains information for all the Nitro laptop’s AI-related features.
Acer Nitro 16: Advanced Gaming Performance with AMD Ryzen 8040 Series Processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs
Designed to deliver high computing performance on Acer’s all-around gaming devices, the new Nitro 16 (AN16-43) features up to the top-of-the-line AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS[2] processor with Ryzen AI so users can do and experience more when playing and creating. Fast-paced rendering and enhanced frames are made possible thanks to the performance of up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060[2] Laptop GPU, with support from DLSS 3.5 technology and the panel’s NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility. Users will stay engaged in all the action on the vibrant 16-inch WQXGA (2560×1600) display, with 500 nits brightness, 165 Hz refresh rate, and 3 ms response time.
Adding to its list of AI-related capabilities, the Nitro 16 also enables greater creativity and productivity with Copilot in Windows[3]. Videoconferencing on the laptop is made a breeze with Acer’s own AI solutions (Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0 and Acer PurifiedView) that effortlessly let users stand out with AI noise reduction and automatic framing abilities. Also, the NitroSense utility app can be activated through the NitroSense key providing access to the laptop’s plethora of AI features on the new Experience Zone. And with NVIDIA’s RTX AI platform, supported on laptops equipped with a GeForce RTX GPU, users get unmatched performance and capabilities.
The Nitro 16’s cooling is optimized through a streamlined thermal design, featuring a dual-fan, quad-intake, and quad-exhaust system that draws in and expels air simultaneously. Liquid metal thermal grease, a layer of thermally-conductive compound used to improve thermal connection between components, is added for better heat transfer and to help maintain the device’s peak performance. It also comes with Wi-Fi 6E, dual USB Type C, three USB Type A ports, HDMI 2.1, and a microSD card slot to provide for all connectivity needs.

The Acer Nitro 16 (AN16-43) will be available in North America in May, starting at USD 1,399.99.
The Acer Nitro 14 (AN14-41) will be available in North America in May, starting at USD 1,299.99, and in EMEA in June, starting at EUR 1,199.
