Starbucks Iced Espresso: Classic or with a Twist?
While many Starbucks customers are devoted to their tried-and-true iced espresso beverages, others prefer to concoct their creations. To celebrate the arrival of summer, Starbucks is offering the chance to try both. Starting (June) through July 2, customers who purchase a grande iced espresso beverage at participating stores in the United States from 2-5 p.m. local time can get a complimentary second iced espresso beverage of equal or lesser value.
Looking for ideas? Here are five suggestions from Starbucks baristas to add a twist to your favorite summer beverage.
Starbucks Doubleshot® on Ice
Starbucks only hand-shaken espresso drink, Starbucks Doubleshot® on Ice is a summer classic with rich, full-bodied espresso topped with a bubbly foam. For a sweet new take on the beverage, substitute caramel sauce for classic syrup.
Iced Caffè Americano
Add a bit of crunch to an Iced Caffè Americano with a sprinkle of raw sugar, or a touch of nutty creaminess with a splash of coconutmilk.
Iced White Chocolate Mocha
White Chocolate Mocha is a year-round customer favorite – as a hot wintertime treat or iced in the summer. For a more coffee-forward beverage, add an extra shot of espresso, or use ristretto shots in place of regular espresso shots for a sweeter, richer flavor.
Iced Caramel Macchiato
For a splash of summertime flavor, substitute raspberry syrup for vanilla syrup in a Starbucks® Iced Caramel Macchiato.
Iced Soy Latte
The classic hot caffè latte is also delicious iced. For a sweet, buttery flavor, add a pump or two of toffee nut syrup.
