The Saudi Arabian government has revealed the concept for the Mukaab that is a cube-shaped building that will be the heart of the new Murabba district located in the city of Riyadh. The Mukaab is aiming to be the largest structure constructed in the world, with a total of 400 meters in width, height, and length. The structure will be located on Riyadh’s North West located in an area of 19 square km which will be one of the biggest Downtown developments anywhere in the world. The Mukaab tower and The Murabba district were revealed by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prime Minister and Chairman of the New Murabba Development Company (NMDC) .

The New Murabba district will feature green areas, as well as cycle and walking paths to offer sustainable transport options for local residents. The area will have its own transportation system that is designed to provide the ability to work, live, and entertainment options within a walking distance of 15 minutes. Cultural facilities include a brand new museum as well as a design and technology university, as well as an immersive theater that is among more than 80 entertainment and cultural venues. The project is expected to generate more than 104,000 housing homes, in addition to 980,000 square metres of retail space, 1.4 million square meters of leisure and office space along with community spaces

In the center of the Murabba district, the Mukaab skyscraper aims to become an iconic landmark. After completion the cube-shaped structure is thought to be the largest constructed construction in the entire world.
