Natwest Opens Its First Digitally Focused Branch
NatWest has opened a flagship Liverpool City Centre branch aimed at supporting customers to bank digitally.
NatWest’s first digitally focused branch, which opened in Liverpool, has been designed to meet the needs and demands of its customers around the clock. Free Wi-Fi will be available for customers in the branch, as well as access to iPads so customers can register and access online banking services, with staff on hand to provide demonstrations and help where required.
All staff will be trained to support customers with online banking on their mobile devices and this will be ongoing throughout the year to ensure their knowledge keeps pace with changes to technology. The branch also includes NatWest’s new video presentation facilities and is virtually paperless.
Members of NatWest’s Business Banking teams and Corporate and Commercial teams will be based in the branch to support SME customers.
Commenting on the new branch, Michael Burrow, Managing Director of North Region at NatWest, said: “Our new Liverpool branch is our first completely digitally focused branch in the country and we are delighted to welcome customers through the doors.
“With an increasing number of our customers choosing to bank with us using their mobile phones or online, we recognise the need to provide a branch that is both digitally focused and supports customers with their financial needs. All of our staff are tech experts who will be able to answer questions about how to use our applications and the different ways customers can bank with us.
“We will also be holding customer workshops and events about online banking as well fraud prevention as part of our continued commitment to keep customers safe and secure.”
