DIB Announces Exclusive Partnership with Emirates Golf Club
DIB to become title partner and sponsor of the Majlis Driving Range during 2016
Dubai Islamic Bank, the largest Islamic Bank in the UAE, has announced today that it will be the title partner and exclusive Bank sponsor of the Majlis Driving Range at Emirates Golf Club, a world-class golf course managed by Dubai Golf. Senior officials from DIB and Emirates Golf Club signed the Memorandum of Understanding in a ceremony held at Emirates Golf Club on January 10, 2016. This exclusive partnership marks DIB’s commitment to raising Dubai’s profile as an international hub for both business and sports while the Bank aims to offer Islamic Banking to a wider customer base.
Following this exclusive tie-up, DIB will be able to showcase its unique suite of products and financial solutions, including Wajaha, the Bank’s private banking proposition targeted at High Net Worth Individuals and recognised for its unmatched privacy and bespoke privileges, and its highly competitive home finance solutions to club members and guests. As such, golf admirers will have the opportunity to engage with DIB representatives and learn more on how they can own their dream properties through Sharia-compliant financing facilities offered by the bank. Additionally, DIB will also sponsor monthly activities to give club members the chance to win a host of select prizes.
Emirates Golf Club is internationally renowned home to prominent events including the Omega Dubai Desert Classic and Omega Dubai Ladies Masters. Inaugurated in 1988 as the first all grass championship golf course in the Middle East, the club sports two of the city’s finest must-play courses, the Majlis and the Faldo Course. In particular, the Majlis Course has gained worldwide reputation and received numerous accolades over the past 25 years. These include prestigious recognitions from the Golf World Magazine as one of the “Top 100 Golf Courses in the World” and “Best Course Middle East” by the Asian Golf Monthly Awards.
Commenting on this partnership, Varun Sood, Chief of Home Finance at DIB said: “We are happy to have the opportunity to engage golf admirers and introduce them to our unique suite of superior home finance solutions. We believe in endorsing sports events that focus on building and nurturing business relationships and allow us to display the benefits and privileges we offer to our affluent clients. This agreement falls in line with the bank’s strategy to grow its High Net worth client portfolio, which is considered a primary segment for us. DIB will showcase its brand, its suite of superior products and financial solutions comprising its Private Banking proposition Wajaha for High Net Worth clients and Home Finance solutions to members, as well as guests of Emirates Golf Club. DIB will also sponsor exciting prize winning monthly activities for club members. DIB’s commitment to sponsoring golf in particular brings us immense pride to partner with Emirates Golf Club to be the title sponsor of the Majlis Driving Range this year. Looking ahead, we will continue to support Dubai’s ambitious aspirations not only to transform itself into the global capital of Islamic economy but also to emerge as a cultural hub.”
