BURGER KING® Wows Canadians With New “Unbelievable” Menu Deal

10 Chicken Nuggets for $1.79 tops the list of 2015 January blues busters

TORONTO, ON, January 12, 2015 – BURGER KING® Canada today announced a cure for the January blues with a timely post New Year promotion of 10 Chicken Nuggets for only $1.79 and the addition of a brand new WHOPPER® sandwich. The ‘unbelievable’ Chicken Nugget value offer, available for a limited time at locations across Canada, arrives just in time as Canadians look for ways to dial down on spending after a busy holiday season.

“We are always looking for ways to please our guests and not just with great food but with a great price too,” said Tracy Chin-Sam, Marketing Director for the Burger King brand in Canada. “We’re hoping the new 10 Chicken Nuggets value offer will help our customers get through the post-holiday financial pinch we can all relate to this time of year.”

The Chicken Nugget value offer follows a successful promotion late last year in the U.S. that will continue into 2015. Based on the overwhelmingly positive reaction from U.S. customers for the promotion, Canadian restaurants are expecting a similar response. BURGER KING® Canada is taking its turn with the limited time promotion with an extensive marketing and advertising splash that is being supported by in-store creative, social and digital integration, and an extensive national TV and regional radio campaign.

WHOPPER® loving Canadians will also be pleased to see that along with the Chicken Nuggets promotion, BURGER KING® is unveiling the new Pepperoni Bacon WHOPPER®. The new Pepperoni Bacon WHOPPER® is a meaty twist on the classic WHOPPER®, featuring a fire-grilled beef patty topped with crispy bacon and eight flavourful pepperoni slices. The Pepperoni Bacon WHOPPER® is available for a limited time at restaurants across Canada.
